What is MICR Code?
MICR code helps identify bank branches for cheque processing. It is printed on cheque leaves and is useful while filling forms that ask for bank branch details.
MICR is different from IFSC. IFSC is mainly used for electronic transfers, while MICR is connected with cheque clearing.
